Interesting take on the Nintendo Switch, kind of agree with the premise this console is for the die-hard ninty fans. My excitement is growing each day for this one.
All board the hype train. Despite the fairly disappointing press conference I locked in my preorder at Amazon. Better safe than sorry.

One more day and No Man’s Sky will be (officially) released. In the past few days several outlets already sold the game and it’s becoming increasingly hard to avoid spoilers on places like Reddit and the few gaming related Facebook groups I’m part of. But the creators of the game, Hello Games, already announced that a day 1 patch will be released that will fundamentally change the game as it is right now. They even advise to delete your save and start over, probably a good idea anyway as the servers will be wiped as well. Release notes for the 1.03 update can be found here. It’s a nice list of updates and tweaks, and I am hoping Hello Games will take the same approach to updates as CD Projekt Red does. Lots of attention to detail, the fans (and free).
One thing that did annoy me about the pre-ordering on PSN was the apparent lack of pre-order incentive compared to the European release and the physical Gamestop one. You get a better starting ship and some credits. But it turned out you do get this as well on PSN when pre-ordering, it’s just not mentioned on the store page.

So one more day before I will start exploring the No Man’s Sky universe. I might start a Star Trek style “Captains Log”. Not sure yet.

This weekend I finished Uncharted 4, took me about 3 to 4 evenings to play through. It wasn’t the best one (I still think that was 3, but it was close) but it was certainly the most beautiful one. Will be putting Nathan Drake down for a bit to finish my second play through of Fallout 4 before Far Harbor drops this Thursday.
My first play through was with the Institute, this time I’ll probably go for the Railroad. I’ve also discovered I’m just 5 Trophies away from a platinum for this one.
The game hasn’t even launched yet. Still 9 hours to go, but the first update is already in…

But anyway, that’s how it is nowadays. I first saw the gameplay at E3 last year and it looked fantastic. It’s seems to be the best looking game around. So yeah, 8 hours and 15 minutes to go. I’ll be playing the Division until then to finally get to lvl 30. Or just continue Rogue Galaxy.

Started another play-through of Dragon Age: Inquisition. This is my third try, I always lose interest somewhere around getting to Skyhold. Not that’s it a bad game, not uninteresting lore either, it just becomes a bit of a drag. First two plays it was clearly due to hanging around the Hinterlands too long, and not realizing you should just venture forth. We’ll see how it goes this time.
